Jacopo Gonzato
Jacopo Gonzato is a designer who aims to change the rules of sound diffusion, starting with the shapes of Platonic solids and then conducting a cross-disciplinary exploration of harmonic forms, experimental design, and innovation.
The overall harmonies can be described as magical:
space is created according to harmonic proportions,
and sound takes shape in structures designed
to make the sound source itself seemingly absent.
A lifelong music enthusiast and fascinated by musical
instruments, Gonzato has been the
creator and leader of innovative sound-related projects.
Today, his works are on display
at the Rossana Orlandi Gallery in Milan.
Jacopo Gonzato is an architect and designer with
an innovative and multidisciplinary vision.
After earning a dual degree in Architecture from the IUAV in Venice and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile,
he founded boccaccio432 in 2019, with the aim of managing style, creative direction, and visualisation for companies in the fields
of living and furniture design.
His experiences and studies, combined
with a deep interest in sound, led him to develop
the project “Sound Geometry”,
which explores sound diffusion through
geometric shapes and Platonic solids.
Since 2022, he has been a resident artist
at the Rossana Orlandi Gallery in Milan.
He has showcased his work in numerous prestigious
national and international exhibitions and events, including
Nomad (St. Moritz 2023 and 2024, Capri 2024), Homo Faber (Venice 2024), RoCollectible (2022, 2023, 2024), and La Proporzione Aurea (Vicenza 2023).
His project and research have been featured
in authoritative publications such as
La Proporzione Aurea: A Journey Through
Emotions, Harmony, and Knowledge (Mondadori)
and in prominent media outlets, including AD, MarieClaire Maison, INTERNI, ElleDECOR, DENTROCASA, Artribune, Exibart, L’OFFICIEL, and many others.
